"Foundation" Without It, Hinders Our Future. We All See The Need.

Hello everyone, I see my audience didn't show up for my last article posting? Typical, especially when one major evaluation years ago clearly stated I'm going to need a Strong and Powerful Board of Directors "FIRST". Followed by many other positive evaluations, including the "LACK" of interest to partner-up from existing accredited college(s) which never happened? "BUT WHY?" "When Colleges and university arms exist to drive innovation, solve complex societal problems, and translate academic knowledge into practical applications. They act as a vital bridge between theoretical science and real-world commercialization, while providing students with hands-on, experiential learning opportunities? Commercialization & Economic Growth: "Licensing new technologies, partnering with businesses, and incubating "Start-Ups" to create jobs, attract investment, and boost the local or national economy? Must be the Enormous Resistance expressed below stating, "They are very use to the existing educational system and view something new from an unknown (translate not credible in their eyes) as something to be judged harshly. Note: Decades wasted on Rhetoric? My Thoughts.

Initiatives Officer FEDNOR July 2, 2009.

Quote: In your efforts to start a new Private Vocational Educational Institution that can offer degrees as well as diplomas you are indeed breaking new ground. Many European countries have incorporated a different sense of balance between what we call in North America "Trades and Professions".

I guess you are no longer surprised to find you are swimming up stream. As you are no doubt aware, training and education are a provincial responsibility. The Feds for the most part hand over funds to support provincial programs. This includes the retraining function that was previously housed in HRSDC. If you are looking at it from a funding from government perspective you will find that the existing colleges and universities are screaming for more financial resources. In Ontario (If my memory is correct) we are currently in a tuition freeze. So no more money from the province and can't raise tuition to increase revenues. I believe this was a contributing factor to a cold reception with the college and university reps. As well, they are very use to the existing educational system and view something new from an unknown (translate not credible in their eyes) as something to be judged harshly. While new capital for infrastructure may be your first goal it is the piece at the top of the mountain and likely to be achieved last.

In reviewing the date sequenced contact chain, at a number of points you received sound advice around the garnering of support from industry. Call this the demand side of the picture of the picture. (supply side being the institutions turning out students specific skill sets.) From my read, until industry says the current institutional mechanisms are not meeting their needs not much will change with government funding. It may be that the work that needs to be done before looking to fill out the Board is the ground level support from a very broad base of industry for the concept you propose. With that is a geographically focused area you have a strong chance for a working partnership with an existing college to "prove the model". This will take 3 to 5 years but once done it resolves a major issue for government funding - the political risk of funding an unproven model that subsequently fails. Governments are like banks - they are normally risk adverse. What you propose has significant risks until results are known. The other very important (possibly most important piece) is the students. What do they feel about the proposed program approach?

Well Canada, we have come a long way from 17 years ago, and further if you take into account decades of R&D for greater opportunities through a Private Alternative Institutional Development. Has anything changed with industry demands, or student interests? So, they talk plenty about innovation does this not apply today? Quote; "In your efforts to start a new Private Vocational Educational Institution that can offer degrees as well as diplomas you are indeed breaking new ground". You can now see the Enormous Resistance here. Quote; "As well, they are very use to the existing educational system and view something new from an unknown (translate not credible in their eyes) as something to be judged harshly". Quote: "Until industry says the current institutional mechanisms are not meeting their needs not much will change". Quote; "a working partnership with an existing college to "prove the model" "BS". This makes me laugh not one institution made an inquiry, all just completely ignored and some called me their competitor and kicked to the street. At that time they expressed 3 to 5 years to prove the model, my most resent "High End Directive" states a mapped out mission-critical federal, provincial, and regional programs, pinpointing agencies and decision-makers who can unlock them, sequencing our first 18 months so that every dollar of non-dilutive funding accelerates our campus, curriculum, and apprenticeship pipeline. (NO HOLDS BARRED)? Now it is your turn "Industry", unless all shoelaces are tied to Ottawa, and your part of the "Enormous Resistance" I expect no change? Are you not the "Foundation" that builds upon the Growth and Prosperity of our Nation in Support of our Countries Infrastructure, the People, and our Economy? PH. Industrial Incorporated & Phate Vocational Technical College University development, will set precedence for change, it doesn't mean traditional institutions will disappear once they figure out how they will reimagine themselves. However, they can continue with their Rhetoric alongside our "Foundational Alternative" of opportunities for students and industry? Note: North America Skilled Trades & Professions was stated above. Canada, is so short sighted in what benefits Canadians, perhaps the USA has a keen eye for an innovative delivery system that engages within their Progressive, Process, of Product, People, and Professions. Where experience speaks louder than words.

Now for learners seeking high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand career pathways. However, where would we be without our Monopolized system for higher education, career alternatives, and skills & training? This New Direct Type of Polytechnic College Delivery, so people can relate to has NO-Pre-Leash Apprenticeship programs. Education, financial aid systems are not required, partnering with an existing institution for accreditation help would have been a benefit "But" may not be required, we will have student support structures which will be imbedded into our initiative, commitments upon completion are applied to both the student and our commitment to see you achieve employment and employability. Creating a catalyst for building stronger talent ecosystems are required today, especially for such an institution that is being expressed here this article. Has the moment arisen elevating the need of a "Solution"? asking the right "Questions"? getting the right "Answers"? Our programs are aligned with "Real Labor Market Demands"? Structured credentials will be earned throughout our Working, Earning, & Learning system? Engaged students working and advancing throughout our uniquely designed pathways moving people forward within our strategic programs to strengthen the bridge between education, workforce readiness, and personal economic opportunity.

Predatory or Competitive depends upon what is at stake or what's being ignored? Presenting our Hybrid Dual Focused Not-For-Profit & For-Profit postsecondary institution development having direct programs that promise life-changing careers and an experience not found in traditional institutions? The challenge is creating and designing accountability systems that protect students from exploitation and not undermining the students opportunity being presented. A shift forward reflects a growing emphasis on educational Return on Investment (ROI) over traditional institutional prestige. It forces colleges, universities, & vocational schools to ensure their programs directly lead to viable, income-generating careers. Note: the above embraces the cry for our "No Holds Barred" offering NO, NO, & NO as expressed throughout many of our blog article postings.

Institutional Retention, applies to many things, workload, communication, academic support as the student progresses into enrollment. Some students typically leave because of, discouragement?, unclear end results?, financial concerns?, or perhaps academic struggles? Trust, and clear pathways underline a students understanding of what's expected and the experience one will gain as they move forward. Manufacturing organizations, require both educational and skills training out-comes that embrace their businesses. Being in a lockstep mindset in the development of skilled trades alongside our experienced leaders and mentors. Without that alignment hiders Stability, Growth Opportunities, Culture, and Experience. Remember industry moves quickly with clear communication and development of future employees and students as well. Leaders & (Institutions) that effectively understand the opportunity behind the student development will embrace our student candidates being developed and delivered to industry with respect. Talent Acquisition today has become a very competitive business and full of ("BS") we see it everywhere and everyone is an expert?

"Educating And Training Them Well Enough, Knowing They Will Leave, To Become The Investment Industry Needs, By Embracing Their Found Knowledge And Skill, Will Become A Great Asset So Treat Them Well"

The student ROI is often discussed a number of ways. Completion Rates. Earnings Data. Transfer Outcomes. Program Value. Those measures matter (TO WHO?), the student experience is critical for a students ROI. The experience is when their is NO financial aid required just a clear path full of ambition? That is why student ROI is their own personal commitment without it the door swings both ways. Self management across the full student pathway is disciplined. ROI is not an institutional responsibility, it's the responsibility of the student throughout our operational alignment to deliver.

Note; In a couple of earlier blog article posting I believe I had elaborated upon our ROI - Return On Investment in one link , and the other one expresses our New 3 in 1 Private Non-Traditional Industry Based College University Development. https://www.phatevocationaltechnicalcollegeuniversity.com/post/memory-of-understanding-mou-the-return-on-investment-roi

Note; This is interesting for students to know? There is a moment in many employee-owned companies when the story sounds complete. “We are employee-owned.” It is a powerful statement. It signals commitment. It suggests accountability. It tells customers, partners, and prospective employees that the people inside the business have something personal at stake. But here is the hard truth: employee ownership is not a culture strategy. It is a structure. A powerful structure, yes. A meaningful structure, absolutely. But still a structure. And, like any structure, it creates value only when people know how to use it. Think of employee ownership as giving everyone a key to the building. Brand culture teaches people what kind of business they are building inside it. That distinction matters now because many mid-market B2B companies are facing a market that does not reward vague pride. It rewards speed, trust, consistency, expertise, and customer confidence. It rewards companies whose people know how to make the brand stronger in the moments that matter.

Words of Wisdom - Determined Alternative Opportunities Created Over Decades: Meaning, It's not about me, It's about them? Its about "Playing It Forward".

Below are a few Links, and my thoughts?

See how the monopoly protects itself? My thoughts

As I expressed in the Link: The challenge is systemic, not individual. Interesting, Systemic describes something that spreads throughout and affects an entire system, rather than just isolated parts. I guess we have a new Label to achieve the same?

Terrible? Canada has know Wind to fill the sails of Innovation, Education, Skills & Training?

Interesting? And a thought? "AWE" The Rhetoric family, including Jack Shit, and Bull Shit. Now for some real innovation supporting Education & Skills & Training. My Thoughts

Interesting?

I truly would like not to consider the thought. However, decades of "BS" uncertainty makes one certainly willing to accept a conversation?
