A North American Competitive Alternative Embracing Higher Education/Skills & Training In A New College/University Development
This Article is in reflection of the Link Below
As Stated; Colleges and Universities engage in a constant struggle for resources, faculty, students, and reputation. All feel intense pressure to keep up with each pace-setter institutions, whether this involves facilities, amenities, academic programs, or student services. Institutions vary widely across every fault line: endowment size, instructional and financial aid expenditures, and students’ college preparedness, among others. Note; they have reached a New Plateau called International Students and now fighting and whining among themselves as in these links below. All looking for the hand out but do they need it considering "Perhaps, the public should be reminded of an article posted in the Globe & Mail 2003? stating Universities Have become Money Machines" So where does the students come into play? And now all this? My Thoughts, as always following these precious institutions and for 27+ years they still can't seem to get it right just hold out their hands and expect it to be filled with funding ,funding, funding Jerry McGuire would be proud of them? One can only assume since 1960, 60 years now that they were developed for all the right reasons? Truly, an Alternative College/University/Development would be a breath of fresh air.
Note: All of the whining going on over the continued tuition freeze and International Students? Seriously Canada, all the links below certainly becomes blatantly clear to me that their interest are not for Canadians and haven't been for many years, just shows a disgusting portrait of what they really stand for. 19 links in all so tell me Canada/Ontario where do we fit in?
The most striking consequence of institutional competitiveness is the failure of colleges and universities to focus on the needs of the ecosystem as a whole. Many of the most severe challenges facing colleges and universities can’t be solved one institution at a time. But throughout a new Unprecedented Non-Traditional approach Canadians would at least have another choice of opportunities.
Perhaps we ran out of Windshield Wiper Fluid in order to wipe the term “Elite” off the window so that we can see the road more clearly. Especially when Harvard and Yale in the US spend more than a billion dollars apiece to construction or refurbishment of undergraduate housing, something is terribly wrong”? WOW? This certainly has a stench linked to student debt? My Thoughts.
And while there has been a recent emphasis on how to scale open learning, to boost career readiness and advancement, there have not been parallel efforts to help the ecosystem as a whole. In one respect, higher education has shared its wealth? I suspect that extraordinarily talented faculty members have never been so widely distributed as they are today? Every institution including many community colleges, has a host of professors who were trained at leading research universities and have a striking record of scholarly publication. The time has certainly come for a more direct approach to higher education and the skills training ecosystem with far greater sharing than is the case today. One no longer needs to teach at a major research university to have access to staggering library and archival resources. Question; is intelligence given by how much money one has, or is it the opportunities presented that create the intelligence required today?
Lets not kid our selves, direct and meaningful "Competition" is alive and regardless as to how influential the "Jargon" may be applied today. If “Collaboration” really meant something there would be a greater interest in the Change, Choice, and Opportunities stated in this New Private Industry Based Non-Traditional Vocational Technical College/University/Development being presented. We have been presenting this institutional initiative to North America (Canada Mostly) for quite a number of years now. People, Industry, Government, Institutions, alike value their bottom line. The real bottom line today is applied to “We The People” they count the most correct? Industry, Government, and the Institutions” continuously for the past 27+ years have been boasting as an example; "Shortages of Skills, Skilled Trades, and still can’t get it right", the "Gap" "Productivity" "Knowledge" "Critical Thought" "Life Long Learning" "College verses University Degrees" and the "Jargon" continues? And in light of our recent “Plandemic”, the truth that will come to light in time? The Realm of Education, Skills and Training, unleashing this New Potential of Education and Skills development? I swear if one stood back and had a serious look you would think it was all planned? Definitely A “No-Drainer”?
However, The financial impact of the Covid? is being felt now by everyone including higher education institutions around the world. As the Covid? truth continues to unfold, the effects are mounting in terms of our economy and immediate budget impacts being forecasted in the coming months and years. Let us not forget the ongoing immigration invasion?
My thoughts; Most institutions will be projecting declines in both domestic and international student numbers based upon institutional gouging of costs enrollment, inflation, with combined tuition shortfalls running into the tens of billions of dollars. Example; as stated within ground breaking articles such as Feb.1/2021 Laurentian University a Canadian ground breaking institution Invoked the Companies Creditors Arrangement Act, in other words Chapter #11 or Bankruptcy Protection where all the “I”s and “T”s are crossed within the process for a projected “Domino Effect” that may emerge? Note; Interesting how the term “Invoked” was applied in their favor once again only to become another insult to the Canadian People?
Offering flexibility by implemented online programs which we have all seen and engaged in the past few years, and where the immigration invasion is real, and to allow incoming students to begin studies online, to what extent will this commencement will be is yet to be determined or has acted in their favor of revenue?
What is it all about today, Computers, iPads, Cell Phones, Automation, IT, AI, Cloud, Modular 3D Printers, New Improved Self Driving and EV Cars, Drones, Bitcoin, Climate Change, etc.… Now we enter another ecosystem where a recent emphasis on how to scale open learning, to boost career readiness and advancement. So now what, perhaps they will all jump feet first into our pockets instead of just having their hands in your pockets. Revenue is and has always been the driving force behind their head count, now we will see just how they will plan to justify their costs onto the students?
Disruptive forces are sweeping the educational landscape. Fast-growing universities smartly leveraging modern technology to create (The Illusion) of operational ecosystems designed to build the strong relationships required to grow at scale (Or Is It A Leashed Grow At Scale)? Are we ready perhaps to engage within a new Alternative Innovative College/University? Such as PH. Industrial Incorporated & Phate Vocational Technical College/University/Development where one can choose their (Phate) - (Fate) wisely? Where the intelligence of Higher Education finds their own path along side the paths of those who seek many other areas of Intelligence and Critical Thought that supports the world in which we live? Where the Experience of Change, Choice, and Opportunities actually has a meaningful employment arrangement for the people.

Mike Harris Conservative Leader expressed his concerns in 2002. Stating; Mike Harris - Gives Universities Another Test - Favors Were Granted To Universities And Colleges That Combine Forces By Establishing Joint Degrees - Diplomas that heavily emphasized market competitive skills. The premier is committed to introducing Private Universities to Ontario and anticipating applications for charters, and expecting the first Private Universities to arrived with greater opportunities and competition for our Public Institutions for the competition for students would be fierce. “Well", That Didn’t Amount To Much From What We See Today, from the much anticipated Fierce Competition.
